Also known as Airport Beach, it is one of the nicest and quietest beaches on the West side of Maui, and no, it is not by an airport. It was nicknamed Airport Beach because it sits on a road that used to house an airport building. It sits on a beach park so there is plenty of parking, barbecues, shaded tables and grass lawns for picnics, games and family activities. The beach is shallow making it perfect for families and beginning snorkelers. This beach is also a favorite spot of the Hawaiian monk seals which you’ll find sporadically getting some much wanted sun on the soft sand, too. Public restrooms and outdoor showers are available.
