This ground-floor two-bedroom, two-bath Maui vacation rental is decorated with a stylish tropical theme with hues of green and blue. The kitchen features full-size stainless steel appliances. Enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon cocktail on the covered patio. This South shore resort is located in a beautiful tropical landscape and features freshwater pond, waterfalls and orchid walls. There are amazing resort amenities - gym, pool, 2 Jacuzzis, a kiddie pool, 2 tennis courts, 3 pickleball courts, and BBQ areas, a 24-hour front desk and assigned parking. Right across the street from beautiful Kamaole Beach III.

The master bedroom features a king-size bed and the ensuite bathroom has a full bath with a walk-in shower. The guest bedroom features two twin beds and 2nd bathroom also features a tub/shower combo. An additional sleeping option of a sofa sleeper in the living allows for a maximum occupancy of 6 guests. Keep cool with the ocean breezes, ceiling fans, and Split AC system. The condo was a little dated and the carpet needed to be replaced or at least cleaned. The smaller bedroom smelled like urine. The kitchen was adequately stocked. It was great that the unit had beach chairs that we could use. Keep in mind that the unit is not available until 4:00 PM, which is difficult if you have an early morning flight.

The condo carpets are stained and dirty. The door jam in the hall bathroom kept sticking, and debris fell on our heads. It needs to be adjusted. Other than those 2 items, the place was fairly pleasant.

This was an awesome spot for a beach vacation in Kihei! Right across from Kamaole Beach Park II and down the street from several restaurants and shops, the location can't be beat. The staff made check-in smooth and easy, and answered all our questions along the way.

The quiet, two-bedroom condo had exactly what we needed - and the backyard greenery was such a lovely spot for a quiet cup of coffee, watching the birds and geckos and butterflies.

While the condo was clean and nicely furnished, there were some issues that should be addressed.
The sliding glass door is very difficult to open and close.
The front screen door doesn't lock or even close all the way.
The tea kettle had rust inside.
There were only two chairs on the lanai.
The beach umbrella had the wrong size pole and didn't fit the top.
The bedroom windows didn't open.

I stayed in this unit with my family of five, and it was very comfortable. The AC was a welcome change, and there are three units, so each room has flexibility. The kitchen was clean and practical for cooking (for one person), and there was plenty of space. I was worried about being “too far” from things in the back corner, but it was actually nice and quiet. We had a little more privacy than other units, and it was still only a couple minute walk to the beach.

We have stayed at Kamaole Sands several times over the years as we love the location and the facility. This time however we were not as impressed with the unit. It was perfect for the size, loved the location as it was very quiet but it is very dated and could use a little TLC and updating. It did not change our vacation as it was fabulous and the Maui Condo and Home, LLC people were excellent to work with. I highly recommend Kamaole Sands and will stay again there in the future.
